The Santander Music and Academy Encounter brings together the great international masters of music with the new promises of tomorrow. The artistic directors of the Encounter, Márta Gulyás and Luis Fernando Pérez, choose each of the participants through open auditions.

In Santander, around seventy of these young people work in the mornings with the teachers in master classes and rehearsals. The result of the classroom work is then transferred to a series of concerts where teachers and students share the stage. The program of concerts and activities takes place in the Argenta, Pereda and María Blanchard halls of the Palacio de Festivales, in the Palacio de la Magdalena, as well as in various venues in some twenty towns in Cantabria.
