Our goal is to ensure that talent, passion for music, and the desire to learn are the only requirements to be part of this experience, without the economic aspect being a barrier.
Thanks to this scholarship, every year students from different countries can experience high-level musical training in an international, inclusive, and enriching environment.
If you wish to apply for an Albéniz Foundation scholarship to participate in the Summer Camp Young Artists 2025, you only have to complete the online form available on our website.

In addition to the main musical and artistic experience, the program offers a series of additional services designed to facilitate travel arrangements, ensure peace of mind for families, and offer personalized experiences during the camp.
To guarantee a comfortable and safe arrival and departure, we offer a transfer service from the train station or Madrid airport to the camp residence (and vice versa at the end of the program).
A Summer Camp team monitor, identified by the official uniform, will receive the participant and accompany them throughout the journey to the accommodation.
This service is especially recommended for students who are traveling alone or coming from abroad.
Transfers can be requested in advance of the start of the program and are subject to availability according to arrival and departure times.
Participants who do not wish to travel with their instrument can request the rental service, available for violin, viola, and cello in different sizes (½, ¾, and 4/4) and qualities.
The instruments are provided by suppliers specializing in stringed instruments and delivered directly to the School, ready for use throughout the stay.
The cost varies depending on the model and size, and includes transport and collection of the instrument at the end of the program.
It is recommended to request it at least two weeks before the start of the camp.
This insurance provides medical and hospital coverage during participation in the camp.
It is mandatory to have valid medical insurance to participate in the program. Families who do not have their own can purchase this policy through the School as an additional service when registering.
The insurance guarantees immediate attention and complete health care in case of illness or accident during the stay.
As a premium service, participants can book an individual recording session in the prestigious Sony Auditorium, one of the most emblematic halls of the Reina Sofía School of Music.
This professional recording allows the student to keep a memory of their performance under the same technical conditions as the concerts of the program.
The service includes the use of the Auditorium and the technical recording equipment for 45 minutes, and can be booked with or without an accompanying pianist.
Dates are scheduled according to space availability and must be requested in advance.
All these services are managed through the Virtual Campus once participation in the Summer Camp has been confirmed and before the start of the program.
If any of the services are requested less than 72 hours before the start of the camp, its availability is not guaranteed and must be paid in advance.
The values of the Summer Camp are:
- Responsibility: We encourage each student to commit to their artistic and personal growth, developing autonomy and respect for their own work and that of their peers.
- Dedication: Musical practice requires effort and perseverance, and in the camp we promote an environment where the passion for music inspires each young person to give their best.
- Companionship: We believe in the importance of collaboration and mutual support. The camp provides an environment where participants can share, learn and grow together, strengthening bonds of friendship and respect.
The program is designed as a comprehensive experience in which participants, in addition to receiving a personalized and excellent instrumental education, enjoy leisure and free time activities that promote the development of social skills and the creation of lasting friendships.
The Summer Camp is open to students from 8 to 18 years old:
- Students aged 8 to 12 can register for the week of June 28 to July 5.
- Students aged 12 to 18 can register from July 5 to August 2.
The program begins every week on Sunday at 5:00 PM at the Residence Hall, where we will give a welcome talk to the participants so that they know the information and basic rules of the camp. Classes begin on Monday morning at 9:30 AM at the Reina Sofía School of Music. On Monday at 9:00 AM, we will have a tour of the School's facilities so that participants and family members can see firsthand the spaces where they will be learning during their stay at the Summer Camp.

Therefore, you could come for 1 week (for example, from July 7 to 13), but you can also combine it to come for 2 weeks (for example, from August 21 to August 3) or 3 weeks (for example, from June 30 to July 20).
The main activity of the Summer Camp takes place in the building of the Reina Sofía School of Music, at Calle Requena 1, opposite the Teatro Real and the Royal Palace, in the heart of Madrid. All camp classes are taught at the School's facilities.
During the week, meals are held in the Teatro Real Canteen, which is less than a 5-minute walk from the School.
Full-campus students stay at the University Residence, which is also open to day-campus students who want to enjoy the pool and free time with their classmates.
That's right: we have an extra transfer service. This service is available to participants on the full campus program. It consists of accompanying the minor who is traveling alone from the station/airport. A team monitor will pick them up and bring them to the residence, or take them back home at the end of the program, depending on what has been contracted. Below, you can see the prices:
- Price one way airport (arrivals and/or departures from 9:00 to 21:00): €150.
- Price one way station (arrivals and/or departures from 9:00 to 21:00): €100.
- Extra price (arrivals and/or departures before 9:00 and after 21:00): €75 per journey.
The internal organization and logistics of Summer Camp are very complex, and we strive for excellence in our treatment and service to the participants.
Therefore, this extra cost must be added to any of the above services if they are contracted less than 72 hours before the start of the Campus and must always be paid in advance (without the payment of this amount, the service cannot be contracted).
Additional price: €75/extra service
Extra services are optional and are charged separately from tuition. They include instrument rental, additional nights of accommodation, transfers to and from the campus, and a professional recording of an individual piece in the Sony Auditorium (accompanist not included). You can choose these services according to your child's needs.
Yes, you can rent your instrument as long as it is a violin, viola, or cello. We have the option of renting different sizes (1/2, 3/4, and 4/4) and we also offer different qualities.
The rental price depends on the instrument and the model, and the cost of transporting the instrument is added to that amount.
Yes, we offer the possibility of contracting travel medical insurance as an extra service for those participants who do not reside in Spain.
Of course, no problem. We understand that sometimes transportation (flights, trains, etc.) does not exactly match the schedules, so we offer the extra night service which includes:
- Extra night + dinner + breakfast
- Extra night + lunch + dinner + breakfast

The full Campus offers the possibility of staying with us in the Residence during the camp, including full board and lodging.
The Day Campus includes classes held at the School, excursions, and leisure time in the Residence swimming pool. Class times are from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. with a break for lunch, which is included in the day campus services. After classes, day campus students can attend the residence pool and enjoy free time with their classmates.
Participants may not leave the School or Residence facilities on their own during the Summer Camp, unless their parents give their express written consent to do so.
It is not a problem at all! Many students have their first contact with chamber music at the Summer Camp. Chamber music groups are organized taking into account the level of the participants and, whenever possible, other factors such as age and previous experience in chamber music.
Faculty assignment is carried out following academic and pedagogical criteria that ensure the best possible experience for participants. This decision is final and will not be subject to claims or discussions by families.
We cannot guarantee that you will have class with the instrument teacher you prefer, but if you have a preference, you can communicate it to us and we will do our best to adapt to it.
The Summer Camp is a bilingual Spanish and English program. During the camp, many dynamics and activities are taught in English, so it is important to have an adequate level in this language to be able to follow the transversal classes and the activities proposed by the monitors. However, we offer the possibility of taking individual classes in both English and Spanish so that the education is closer and adapted to each participant.
Every Saturday, we hold the final concert for the participants who are completing the program that week. The one-week participants will play their individual piece at the concert. The two-week participants will play the chamber music piece they have prepared during the camp.
It is not possible to study two instruments in the same week; only one instrument per week can be taken. However, you can enroll in two different camps to study the various instruments in different weeks, for example: one week for one instrument and another week for another.
The cross-disciplinary workshops of the Young Artists Summer Camp are designed to complement musical training with tools for self-awareness, emotional management, and critical thinking, essential for the personal and professional development of students. These include sessions of
Building an Artist, focused on self-discovery and confidence
Listening to Music, to improve active listening and musical analysis
Body Technique, which promotes body awareness and relaxation techniques.
With these modules, the camp offers comprehensive and holistic training, helping young musicians grow both artistically and personally.
In addition, for participants aged 8 to 12, we will offer two workshops:
Choir Workshop: singing in a group is one of the most exciting experiences there is, especially for a young artist. In this workshop, participants will learn to listen, breathe, and tune together, discovering the magic of creating with their own voices. In addition to improving their ear and expressiveness, they will develop confidence, teamwork, and a strong connection with music.
Percussion Workshop: rhythm, energy, and teamwork combine in this workshop where participants will explore and experience rhythm in a fun and participatory way. Through small percussion instruments and their own bodies, they will experience a vibrant activity that will enhance attention, coordination, and musical sense.
There is no level test to be admitted to the camp, but the participant's level will be judged to award the Albéniz Foundation Scholarship. All candidates must send a video playing the instrument with which they want to participate in the registration form, to demonstrate knowledge of the instrument.
Participants will have a master class with a guest artist. This session will last 30 minutes, and they may listen to their colleagues' master classes for the other 90 minutes per week.
Yes, a minimum knowledge of the instrument and musical notions are required to attend Summer Camp and make the most of the experience.

• Personalized individual instrument classes four times a week, for in-depth technical and artistic development.
• Master class where students learn in a collaborative environment.
• Chamber music, fostering active listening and teamwork.
• A concert in the Sony Auditorium at the end of the camp, as the stage is seen as an extension of the classroom, allowing students to experience a real professional experience.
If you spend two weeks at the Summer Camp, you will perform the chamber music piece with your group at the final concert. We offer the possibility of contracting an extra recording service in the Auditorium, so that you can have an hour of preparation and recording of your individual piece in this unique space.
