He was born in Bogotá D.C. (Colombia) in 1994. Since 2024, he has been studying in the Inditex Chair of Composition at the Reina Sofía School of Music, with Professor Fabián Panisello. He holds scholarships from Fundación Santo Domingo, MAEC/AECID and Fundación Albéniz.

A Colombian cellist and composer, he graduated from the Music programme at Universidad de los Andes. He has studied with Catalina Peralta and Rodolfo Acosta, and has received masterclasses from leading composers such as Julia Wolfe, David Lang, Michael Gordon and Johannes Maria Staud. He has received multiple awards, including: second prize in the CILASiM international competition for Savannah, first prize from the Bogotá Philharmonic Orchestra for Órbita Celestial, an honourable mention from Banco de la República for String Quartet No. 2 – Rito, and second prize in the Música con Passione competition for Singularidad.

In 2022, he won the OFB Contemporary Music competition for Corraleja and was selected by the JACK Quartet. In 2023, Aleación I was performed by the Bang on a Can All Stars ensemble, Supernova received the Plataforma +28 award, and BEEF was selected by Banco de la República. In 2024 and 2025, he received further recognition for Fuerza y Movimiento II, BEEF and Figuras y fondo.

His music has been performed by leading orchestras and ensembles in the Americas and Europe. He is co-founder of the Vasto ensemble and the “EARS Composers” collective, with the “Tierra de Aves” project standing out. His works are published by Cayambis Music Press and Babel Scores.
