He was born in Campo Grande (Portugal) in 2006. Since 2024, he has been a student at the Reina Sofía School of Music, in the Unidad Editorial Double Bass Chair, with Professor Wies de Boevé. He is a recipient of scholarships from Santander Portugal and the Albéniz Foundation.

He studied at the Conservatório Nacional Escola Artística de Música in Lisbon with Miguel Leira Pereira until the age of 13, and continued his studies with Vanessa Lima. He has also received masterclasses from Luis Cabrera, Joel Quarrington, and Matthew McDonald, among others.

Throughout his career, he has collaborated with musicians such as Juri Hudec, Théotime Voisin, Petru Iuga, and Yo-Yo Ma, and with conductors such as Pablo Heras-Casado, Kent Nagano, and Daniel Harding, among others. He has participated in the MACH Project of the Musica Sull’acqua Festival, the 2023 Moritzburg Festival, and the 2022 Verbier Festival. He has premiered contemporary works by Daniel Schvetz, Ângela da Ponte, and Pedro Rocha.

He has received several awards, including first prize in competitions such as Nouvelles étoiles 2023, Charleston 2023, Vasco Barbosa 2021 and 2023, and the Concurso Jovem 2023. Additionally, he won second prize in the 2022 Música en los Viñedos competition and in the 2023 Verão Clássico double bass awards.

As a student at the School, he has performed with the Freixenet Orchestra (conducted by Nicolás Pasquet), the School’s Baroque Ensemble (conducted by Paul Goodwin), and the Sinfonietta (conducted by Johannes Kalitzke). Furthermore, in 2025, he performed with the School’s Orchestra at Carnegie Hall in New York under the baton of Andrés Orozco-Estrada. He has also been a member of the Unidad Editorial Bottesini Double Bass Quartet and the Ensemble Cosan. He is currently a member of the O Globo Quintet and the Viardot Trio.
