Born in Samaniego, Nariño (Colombia) in 1999. Since 2024, he has been a student at the Reina Sofía School of Music, in the Trumpet Chair, with Professor Reinhold Friedrich. He holds scholarships from Fundación Santo Domingo, MAEC/AECID, and Fundación Albéniz.
He began his musical training at the age of six with the Municipal Band of the Mayor Alejo School of Music. He graduated with an honorable mention in Music from the University of Antioquia.
He has excelled in multiple competitions, including 3rd prize in the Albéniz Brass School “Fabio Brum & Friends” International Competition (2020), 1st prize in the Cali Philharmonic Young Soloists Competition (2021), 1st prize in the Eurorchestries International Young Classical Music Talents Competition (2021), and as a finalist in the Young Soloists Competition of the National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia (2022), among others.
He has participated in renowned international festivals and tours with the Colombian Youth Philharmonic, performing in prestigious concert halls such as the Alte Oper in Frankfurt, Philharmonie de Paris, Isar Philharmonic in Munich, Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, Wiener Konzerthaus, Berliner Philharmonie, and Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.
He has received masterclasses from international soloists, including Pacho Flores, Luis González, Wiff Rudd, Eric Aubier, Otto Sauter, Marc Geujon, Moritz Görg, Florian Kirner, Mary Elizabeth Bowden, Benjamin Moreno, Adán Delgado, and Mark David.
As a student of the School, he has performed with the School’s Baroque Ensemble (conducted by Paul Goodwin). In 2025, he also performed with the School Orchestra at Carnegie Hall in New York under the direction of Andrés Orozco-Estrada.
