Born in Oaxaca de Juárez (Mexico) in 2004. Since 2023, he has been studying at the Fundación Damm Oboe Chair of the Reina Sofía School of Music, first with Professor Hänsjorg Schellenberger and currently with Professor Lucas Macías. He holds scholarships from Pan American Energy and Fundación Albéniz, and a residency scholarship from Santander México. In 2025, he received the Diploma for the most outstanding student of his chair from Her Majesty Queen Sofía.
He began his studies at the age of 5 in the children’s and youth orchestra ‘Libertad’. At 14, he joined the Oaxaca Symphony Orchestra and the State Symphony Band. In 2020, he was accepted into the Faculty of Music at the National Autonomous University of Mexico to pursue a degree in oboe with Professor Alejandro Tello Zamudio.
He has received masterclasses from Tamer Edlebi, Yarile Fernández Torres, David Harris, William Welter, Víctor Anchel, and Ramón Ortega. He has collaborated as an oboist with the Oaxaca Philharmonic Orchestra, the Mexican National Philharmonic, the Pasatono Mexican Orchestra project, and currently with the UNAM Eduardo Mata University Youth Orchestra.
In 2022, as the youngest contestant and still without a degree, he won second place in the Sally van den Berg Award at the University Oboe Festival.
As a student of the School, he has performed with the Freixenet Orchestra (conducted by Péter Csaba, Sir András Schiff, and Nicolás Pasquet) and with the Fundación EDP Camerata (conducted by Giovanni Guzzo). In 2025, he also performed with the School’s Orchestra at Carnegie Hall in New York under the direction of Andrés Orozco-Estrada. He has also been a member of the Cassadó Quintet. He is currently part of the O Globo and Debussy Accenture quintets.
