BARTÓK, Béla
Divertimento for String Orchestra Sz 113 BB 118
I. Allegro non troppo
Andrés Orozco-Estrada, professor
Tami Daniel Rueda Blanco, student
Freixenet Chamber Orchestra of the Reina Sofía School of Music
It begins with a doubt about phrasing and dynamics in measure 100. They review from that fragment, and the conductor makes some indications. Later, they must review the understanding and dynamics, and Orozco-Estrada also makes some clarification about the tempo changes that are complicated in a certain part. The teacher asks them to work on the problematic parts: the conductor must identify where they are not together to correct it.
Orozco-Estrada finally suggests to the conductor that they do it continuously to see if it is appropriate to play it in the concert before the public in the afternoon, or it is better to remove it from the program if it is not working correctly. The result has improved a lot, and he congratulates the orchestra and conductor for it.
