Summer Camp for Young Artists is a bilingual program based on the pedagogical principles of the Reina Sofía School of Music:

  • High-level instrumental instruction with individual classes and a focus on chamber music.
  • Solid artistic development with “Building an Artist”, “Listening to Music” and Wellbeing workshops.
  • Memorable experience of performing on the stage of the Sony Auditorium.
  • Opportunity to live with young people from all over the world sharing a passion for music in society.

Participants

Groups and dates for the 2026 edition

June 28 - July 5

Participants can register for a duration of 1, 2 or 3 weeks within the period between June 28 and August 2.

The program lasts 7 days, starting on Sunday afternoon and ending on Sunday morning. To adapt to the needs of each student, the Summer Camp offers two modes of participation:



Day Campus: from 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., ideal for those who prefer to enjoy the experience without accommodation.


Full Campus: includes accommodation, allowing total immersion in the camp environment.

Instruments

Participants will have the opportunity to develop their skills on their chosen instrument, receiving personalized and excellent training in each discipline.

In the following table you will find the number of places available according to the instrument, allowing you to know the capacity of each specialty within the program.

In the 2025 edition, Summer Camp for Young Artists welcomed 219 participants from more than 36 different countries such as Spain, Costa Rica, the United Kingdom, the United States, Portugal, Qatar, Mexico, Australia and many others; reflecting its international reach and cultural diversity.

Clases individuales

Individual classes are designed to foster an intense teacher-student relationship through rigorous monitoring of their needs and expectations.

In addition, participants in the Young Artists Summer Camp will have collective master classes taught by great pedagogues and artists, many of whom are professors at the Reina Sofía School of Music. The classes will be offered to active and listening students in 90-minute sessions, and participants may attend master classes for other instruments.
