For the last movement, the maestro revises the development section in order to improve the character and prevent it from being too ponderous, especially when playing down-bow, ensuring that the sound does not fall to the ground but rather rises.

András Schiff also revises the phrasing of the violins in the theme; the intervallic leap needs to be highlighted more, as if a cuckoo were singing, and not played so flatly.
