Baroque Ensembles of the Reina Sofía School of Music: De Lalande, Telemann and Muffat

Course
2024-25

The School’s Baroque Ensembles are part of the Société Générale Historical Performance Program, which seeks to expose students to the various performance traditions existing from the Renaissance (through the Baroque) and reaching up to musical Classicism, through the study of their stylistic characteristics, repertoire, the history and evolution of instruments, etc. These aspects help students integrate into their practice knowledge and techniques that until recently were exclusive to specialists, and which are increasingly necessary in today’s musical profession.
