With the dual purpose of providing students with experience in this field and enriching its musical offering to society, the Reina Sofía School of Music has created several orchestral ensembles composed of its students and led by School faculty members and guest conductors. The Freixenet Orchestra debuted in 2008 at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona.
