Madrid, March 12, 2025. – The relationship between art and technology is transforming the way creators and artists develop their projects and connect with the public. In this context, the Reina Sofía School of Music presents EmpleARTE 2025, a meeting designed to address the challenges and opportunities that technology offers to the musical and scenic sector. This conference, which will take place next Saturday, March 29 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Sony Auditorium of the Reina Sofía School of Music, is projected as a space for analysis and training for musicians and performing artists, allowing them to understand the impact of digitization on the development of solid, sustainable artistic careers ready to face the challenges of the changing professional landscape.

The future of the artist in the digital age

The digital transformation has generated new scenarios in the world of music and performing arts, promoting opportunities for the monetization of art, distance education, and the protection of the rights of creators. EmpleARTE 2025: technology at the service of the artist is presented as an initiative that seeks to provide key tools for the adaptation of the artist to the new digital ecosystem.

The meeting will feature the participation of experts in innovation applied to music and the performing arts, who will analyze fundamental aspects such as digital monetization, the protection of rights, and the impact of digitization on artistic education.

A program designed for the professionalization of the musician and the performing artist

The conference will be structured around three main blocks that will address the most relevant aspects of the intersection between art and technology:

Rights, data, and networks: the technical side of the artistic profession

Pedro Fernández (Sympathy for the Lawyer) will analyze the legal framework of music on digital platforms and rights protection strategies. For his part, Fran Parrado (Reina Sofía School – Fortissimo Media) will present tools to improve the visibility of the artist in the digital environment. Pablo Romé (Momento Guitarra) will close the first block, sharing his experience in online instrumental teaching and how it has revolutionized access to distance music training and the monetization of educational services.

Education and technology: the future of artistic training and employment

Anna Milman (Baton Score) will explain the impact of artificial intelligence on musical pedagogy, while Esther Viñuela (Reina Sofía School) and Kadri Steinbach (University of Tartu) will present the results of Digital Skills 4 Music Teachers (DISK), an Erasmus + project financed by the European Union through the SEPIE, whose objective is to contribute to the digitization of music education in Europe.

What lies beyond?: unlimited creativity thanks to technology

Culminating the conference, EmpleARTE 2025 will welcome performances by Alfredo Miralles and Francesco Tristano. The latter will offer a live performance in which he will merge the classical repertoire with electronic experimentation.
