St. Patrick's Day: Popular - Danny Boy (The Londonderry Air)
Celebramos el Día de San Patricio con esta canción que es casi un himno irlandés.
Danny Boy es una antigua tonada conocida como 'Aire de Londonderry' en referencia a este condado de Irlanda del Norte. El registro más antiguo de canción se remonta al año 1855, pero su origen es impreciso.
Frederic Edward Weatherley adaptó una letra de su creación a esta melodía y la publicó en 1913, convirtiéndose en un gran éxito:
