It will continue with one of the most performed works of the 20th century American repertoire, the Concerto for Violin and Orchestra op.14 by Samuel Barber (1910-1981), together with the internationally renowned French violinist Renaud Capuçon, and to close the evening the Symphony No. 9 in E minor, op. 95, From the New World, by Antonín Dvořák (1841-1904), a work whose world premiere took place at Carnegie Hall in 1893.
During their stay in New York, the students will participate in a series of social and educational activities, with the aim of building bridges with relevant American institutions and offering young musicians an experience in addition to the concert. Thus, the School’s students will have the opportunity to participate in activities with the New York Philharmonic, the Juilliard School, the Ensemble Connect of Carnegie Hall, the Queen Sofía Institute and the Harmony Program.
