Contemporary Music Programme

Led by Pierre-Laurent Aimard, the programme consists of a number of visits, which are structured around one-to-one tuition, chamber music and class/seminar-like sessions, and it is available to both student pianists and non-pianists.

The programme director will structure the repertoire and open sessions around a theme, a composer or a style, according to the needs of the students, and support the programming and preparation of the contemporary projects for the School's Sinfonietta taking place at the School.

The programme will culminate with a final showcase event which would include music, but also talks and allow for reflections about the music being performed, reflecting on the context that gave it birth and how it affects us.
