La Generación Ascendente
The concert series La Generación Ascendente is one of the best examples of the School's objectives, as it combines in a highly demanding stage the maturation of talented young musicians with the dissemination of classical music in society.
In the concerts of the series, organized in collaboration with INAEM, the best performers have the opportunity to take the prestigious stage of the Auditorio Nacional de Música de Madrid to offer the public new versions of the great works of the repertoire, in recitals, chamber groups or orchestral ensembles.
The pianist Marcel Tadokoro stars in the third concert of the series with a recital of works by Rameau, Beethoven, Ravel and Tchaikovsky.
Born in Fukuoka (Japan), he began playing the piano at the age of 8 in Japan. After obtaining a master's degree at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse in Paris, he entered the École Normale de Musique de Paris, where he is currently studying under the direction of Rena Shereshevskaya.
Tadokoro has been awarded in several international competitions, including the “John Giordano” Jury Chairman Discretionary Award at the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition (2022) and third prize at the Santander Paloma O'Shea International Piano Competition (2022). He was also a finalist at the Montreal International Competition (2021).
He has performed with orchestras such as the Ural Philharmonic Orchestra, the Russian State Academic Symphony Orchestra, the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, the Royal de Chambre de Wallonie, the Ukrainian National Philharmonic, the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra and the Aichi Chamber Orchestra, among others.
In June 2025, he will release the CD “Complete Henselt's Etudes” worldwide on the Naxos label.
