Arturo Abellán

Born in Caravaca de la Cruz, Murcia, in 2002. At the age of sixteen he entered the Reina Sofía School of Music, where he studied until 2023 with professors Galina Eguiazarova and Stanislav Ioudenitch. He has also studied with pianist and professor Denis Lossev at the School of Music of Cataluña.

He began his music studies at the age of four, after playing from ear the melody of Mozart’s Rondo Alla Turca, performing for the first time that same year. Along his studies, he has attended masterclasses and received guidance form great maestros, such as Boris Berman, Paul Badura-Skoda, Cyprien Katsaris, Lang Lang, Pavel Gililov, Mikhail Petukhov, Eldar Nebolsin, Dmitri Alexeev, Jorge Luis Prats, Piotr Paleczny, Grigory Gruzman, Jura Margulis, Alexander Kobrin, Pavel Nersessian, Jacques Rouvier, and Nikolai Demidenko, among many others.

He gave his first solo recital at the age of 12, and when he was 13 he performed his debut in a tour around differet concert halls. That same year he was selected internationally to perform four hands repertoire together with famous pianist Lang Lang at the prestigious Brahms-Saal at Vienna’s Musikverein, attending a public masterclass by the maestro, all sponsored by Allianz Asutria.

In 2017, when he was only 15 years old, he became the first underage guest of Fundación Scherzo to participate in the select Young Performers Series, in a recital that took place at the Sala Roja of Madrid’s Teatros del Canal. That same year, he was acknowledged by the Intercentros Melómano Competition as best pianist among all the conservatories of music in Spain.

He has performed in numerous halls of renowned international prestige, such as the Brahms-Saal of Vienna’s Musikverein, the Sala Roja of Madrid’s Teatros del Canal, Valecia’s Palau de la Música, Madrid’s Auditorio Sony, Alicante’s Townhall Auditorium, Marruchino Theatre in Italy, Tarragona’s Josep Carreras Auditorium, as well as many others in Switzerland, the Neatherlands, Italy, Spain, Germany, and Austria.

He has been a laureate with more than 30 prizes in national and international competitions, among which half of them were first prizes.

His activity, performances and interviews have been broadcast in TV and radio channels such as RTVE 1, TV3, Onda Cero, 7RM, El Toro TV, Caravaca Radio, or published in the press such as Allianz Press, OTS Austria, La Opinión, La Verdad, El Norte de Castilla, Diario de León, Diario de Ibiza, and El Noroeste, among others.
