Dušan Kostic

Born in Ćuprija (Serbia) in 1995, Dušan Kostić began learning the double bass in 2008 with Aleksandar Blagojević in Ćuprija, later at the Novi Sad Academy of Music with Ivica Marušević and with Roman Patkolo at the Music Academy of Basel where he graduated and where he is currently studying the Specialised Master for Soloists. He has attended masterclasses with renowned principal bass players. He has been awarded in major competitions and has performed in top concert halls with well-known orchestras and prominent conductors. He was a member of the LGT Young Soloists ensemble, member of the Gstaad Menuhin Festival Orchestra and guest principal bassist of the Baltic Sea Philharmonic Orchestra and iPalpiti Festival Orchestra in Los Angeles. In the 2019-2020 season he did his Praktikum at the Theater Orchester Biel Solothurn.
