Leonard Erokhin Gómez

Born in Valladolid, Spain, in 2012. Since 2022, he studies at the Reina Sofía School of Music’s Aline Foriel-Destezet Cello Chair with professor Ivan Monighetti. He has been granted scholarships by AIE-Sociedad de Artistas, Intérpretes y Ejecutantes and Fundación Albéniz.

Coming from a family of musicians, he began to study cello at the age of five. From 2019 to 2022 he studied in Madrid with professor Alexander Osokin and takes active part in the Fundación Princesa de Asturias summer camps. He has also attended masterclasses by Frans Helmerson, among others.

In 2021, he has won several competitions such as the 1st Ars Astra International Online Competition in Moscow, Russia; “String Premium”, Belarus; San Remo Music International Competition, Italy; IMMC International Moscow Music Competition, Russia; the 23rd Minsk Slavic Encounters International Competition-Festival, Belarus; Leopold International Competition, France; 2021 Nouvelles Étoiles Young International Competition, France; Europe Talents International Art Festival & Competition and the 10th Vigo Competition, Spain.
