Sam Sallenave

Born in Bordeaux, France, in 2000. He discovered the bassoon at the age of 8 at the Conservatoire de Bordeaux. He was instantly attracted to the warm sound of the bassoon and by his first professor Jean-Marie Lamothe. Having finished his studies in Bordeaux, he was accepted at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris in 2020. He is a chamber and orchestra music enthusiast and performs regularly with ensembles like Chamber Orchestra of Paris, National Orchestra of Lille, National Opéra Bordeaux Aquitaine, National Orchestra of Montpellier, and the Chamber Orchestra Pablo Casals, among others. He advocates the accessibility of classical music to every audience and tries to find the best way to bring art closer to most people.
