Santiago Lurueña Blázquez

Born in Salamanca, Spain, in 1994. He began his Bachelor at the Badajoz Conservatory of Music. Afterwards he moved to the Koninklijk Conservatorium Antwerpen to complete a Master’s Degree with Annelien van Wauwe and studied early music with Benjamin Dieltjens and Nicola Boud. He has been invited to play with orchestras like the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra, Frascati Symphonic, Het Zeeuws Orkest, Antwerpen Camerata. Additionally, he has participated in the 10th Contemporary Music Festival of Badajoz, International Music and Dance Festival in Granada, Aurora Chamber Music Festival, Iberic Chamber Music Festival, Opera21 Festival, Wonderland Festival of Bijloke, and Festival B-Classics, among others. He currently develops his main chamber music activity with the Phasma Trio, and he is founder of the Ensemble Opus 9.
