The rat catcher
The rat catcher is born from interdisciplinary work and the link between different artists, media and institutions. Thus, this project presents an immersive audiovisual proposal, which reinterprets the German legend of the Pied Piper and recontextualizes it, relating it to the manipulation of social networks.
The premiere of the musical piece composed by Marius Díaz was premiered at the composition teaching concert held last January 24, 2023 and, subsequently, the piece was shown at La Casa de las Américas (Havana, Cuba) together with the audiovisual installation commissioned to the artist Mauricio Abad.
The main objective of this project is to transmit, mainly to the younger generations, a reflective and critical message about the use of the Internet and technology.
