Silvana Estrada, one of the most important voices in new Latin American music, is coming to Madrid to present the songs from her new album in a very special concert alongside the Reina Sofía School of Music, as part of the official programme for Hispanidad 2025 organised by the Community of Madrid.
Winner of the Latin Grammy for Best New Artist in 2022, nominated in 2024 and acclaimed by international media outlets such as The New York Times, Rolling Stone and Pitchfork, Estrada has captivated global audiences with a musical style that ranges from intimate to powerful. Her unique voice, rooted in Veracruz with echoes of Latin American folklore, jazz and singer-songwriter music, has turned songs such as Marchita, Abrazo and Si Me Matan into authentic references for a generation that finds in her both beauty and social commitment.
For this occasion, Silvana joins forces with the talented string and wind ensemble of the Reina Sofía School of Music, renowned worldwide for training young performers of many different nationalities under the guidance of the finest teachers. The group, made up of 13 musicians—violins, violas, cello, double bass, flute, oboe, clarinet and trumpets—accompanies Estrada in a programme where tradition and contemporaneity come together in a rich musical dialogue. This concert, which celebrates cultural diversity and the power of music as a universal language, promises an unforgettable evening in which Estrada's poetic intensity and the ensemble's academic excellence merge in a musical journey full of sensitivity and energy.
Free admission until full capacity is reached.
