Alejandro Viana is one of the most prominent cellists of his generation. He has appeared as a soloist with ensembles such as the Zagreb Soloists, Liepaja Symphony Orchestra, and Andrés Segovia Chamber Orchestra, under conductors including Gautier Capuçon, Plácido Domingo, and Andrés Orozco-Estrada. 

He has shared the stage with artists such as Anne-Sophie Mutter, Nobuko Imai, and Krzysztof Penderecki, and has performed at major festivals including Kronberg, IMS Prussia Cove, and the Encuentro de Santander. His awards include prizes at the Liezen, Antonio Janigro, Karl Davidoff, Manhattan Competition, Jaime Dobato Benavente, and Soncello competitions. 

Since 2018, he has been part of the Classe d’Excellence de la Fondation Louis Vuitton. He currently studies with Ivan Monighetti at the Reina Sofía School of Music, where he has been named “Most Outstanding Student” five times. He has also worked with renowned artists such as Jean-Guihen Queyras, Wolfgang Boettcher, Gary Hoffman, Gidon Kremer, and Truls Mørk.
