Alberto Díaz-Pallarés Gil

Born in Madrid, Spain, in 2002. Since 2022, he studies at the Reina Sofía School of Music’s Unidad Editorial Double Bass Chair with professor Wies de Boevé. He has been granted scholarships by Ayuntamiento de Madrid and Fundación Albéniz.

He began his double bass studies at the age of seven with professor Roberto Terrón (with whom he is still studying), and continued them at the Majadahonda Professional Conservatory, where he obtained the End-of-Degree Award and Distinction in Double Bass, and since 2020, he studies at the Madrid Music Conservatory with professor Eduardo Anoz. He has also received lessons from professors such as Roberto Terrón, Zlatka Pencheva, Andrew Ackerman, Cecilia Bercovich, Antonio García Araque, Matthew McDonald, and Philipp Stubenrauch.

In 2019, he was awarded second prize at the regional stage of Intercentros Melómano Competition and went on to be part of the European Youth Orchestra in Madrid, the Orchestre des Lycées Français du Monde and the ProArte Orchestra.

As a student of the School, he has been a member of the Freixenet Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Andrés Orozco-Estrada, Juanjo Mena and Péter Csaba, and of the Sinfonietta, conducted by Zsolt Nagy. He is currently a member of the Unidad Editorial Bottesini Double Bass Quartet and the Cosan Quintet.
