Anja Šinigoj

Mezzosoprano born in Slovenia in 1994. She studied singing at the music conservatory with Tatjana Vasle and at the Ljubljana Music Academy with Barbara Jernejčič Fürst. She finished her Master’s in 2021. As soloist, she has performed in two mini operas: Anatomy of thought (Kastelic) and Lullaby in a room without a window, (Lo Pintoa), a new opera Julija by Makovac, as Cherubino in concert version of Le nozze di Figaro by Mozart and as Berta in Il barbiere di Siviglia by Rossini. She also held a role of Old Lady in Bernstein’s Candide. This year she will be performing the role of Ravanna in new Slovenian opera The Sound by Rok Golob at the SNG Opera and Ballet Ljubljana, where she is currently a singer in its choir.
