Encounter of Santander
Born in France in 2002, she discovered the instrument through her grandfather, a former member of the Paris Opera Orchestra. She began playing at age seven and, in 2023, was admitted to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, where she studies with Pierre-Henri Xuereb. She performed for two summers with the Jeune Orchestre Européen Hector Berlioz under François-Xavier Roth, sparking her interest in historically informed performance and leading to an Erasmus exchange in Amsterdam. Axelle regularly collaborates with Ensemble Matheus under Jean-Christophe Spinosi, including at the 2024 Paralympic Games. A finalist in the 2022 Jeunes Talents competition, she also studied with Tabea Zimmermann at the 2024 Accademia Musicale Chigiana and participates in diverse musical and recording projects.
