Encounter of Santander
Born in 2005 in Israel, Daniel Ron began studying violin in 2011 and viola in 2018. He is pursuing his bachelor's degree on a full scholarship at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music under Ludmila Feldman and graduated from Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts, where he received the Thelma Yellin Prize for Excellence in Music.
A Jerusalem Music Centre alum, he has served as Concertmaster of the Young Israeli Philharmonic and Thelma Yellin Symphony, performing under Zubin Mehta, Lahav Shani, and Karl Heinz Steffens. As a soloist, he has appeared with the Thelma Yellin Symphony Orchestra and the Buchmann-Mehta Baroque Ensemble, while his chamber performances have taken him to venues across Israel and Europe.
He is part of the Musethica program, bringing music to underserved communities, and serves as an Outstanding Musician in the IDF. He is a grant recipient of the Ronen Foundation and the America-Israel Cultural Foundation.
