Born in Turkey, in 2004, she has gained recognition in competitions such as the Young Pianist of the North Competition, where she won 1st prize, and the International Robert Schumann Competition, where she received 2nd prize. She has performed at various venues across Europe, including King’s Place in London, the Musikinstrumenten-Museum in Berlin, and the PianoDuo Festival in Amsterdam. She participated in Chamber Lab Montecastelli, an academy focused on chamber music and performance, and she is a scholarship recipient from the International Musikakademie in Liechtenstein, where she has taken part in the Intensive Music Weeks, including lessons with Professor Claudio Martínez Mehner. Duru is currently studying with Eldar Nebolsin at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin.
