Emily Douglas

Born in Middlesbrough, United Kingdom, in 2000. She is a highly accomplished French horn player based in Manchester and has recently obtained a First Class Honours undergraduate degree at the Royal Northern College of Music, in which she won a full scholarship to continue her training and pursue a Master’s Degree. She is a founding member of Solar Winds, a wind quintet established at the RNCM, and has performed as a group across the North of England, in addition to providing educational sessions for schoolchildren, most notably with a tour across the Isle of Man in 2022. Additionally, she performs regularly with orchestras including The Halle, Opera North, New Sinfonia and the Mowbray Orchestra. She has recently completed a professional experience scheme with the BBC Philharmonic, where she performed live on BBC Radio 3.
