Iidamari Ahonen

Iidamari Ahonen

Born in Tampere, Finland, in 2003. She studied at the Universität der Künste Berlin with professor Mark Gothoni and at Sibelius Academy with Petri Aarnio. She has attended masterclasses by Yair Kless and Per Enoksson and chamber music masterclasses with Levon Chilingirian, Gregor Sigl, Eckart Runge, and Marko Ylönen. She has performed in Finnish music festivals including Kuhmo Festival, Kauniainen Music Festival, Crusell Week, and Hauho Music Festival. She is first prize winner of the Juhani Heinonen Violin Competition and Kaunas Sonorum Competition, as well as a prize winner of the Arthur Grumiaux Violin Competition and the Young Musician Competition in Estonia. She has also performed with orchestras including the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra.
