Encounter of Santander
Born in Seville (Spain), in 2009. Since 2025, she studies at the Reina Sofía School of Music's Fundación BBVA Viola Chair with professor Diemut Poppen. She has been granted scholarships by Merlin Properties and Fundación Albéniz.
She began her viola studies at the age of three at the “Joaquín Turina” School in Seville with Claire Appelwhite and Jerome Ireland. Afterwards, she studied with Laure Gaudron, Jonathan Brown and Joaquín Riquelme, and has attended masterclasses with Gérard Caussé, Ruth Olmedilla, Ignacio González, and Natasha Tchitch, among others.
In 2023, she was admitted to the Barenboim-Said Academy and the Andalusian Youth Orchestra, becoming the youngest violist. In addition, she was selected for the Concertgebow Orchestra Young (2025) meeting held in Amsterdam.
She has won competitions such as First Prize at the Corda Cidade de Vigo Competition and the Baeza Young Performers Competition (2024), participating in the Baeza Festival 2025, First Prize in Chamber Music at the 28th ‘Visitación Magarzo’ Competition (2019) and First Prize at the ‘Julia Hierro’ Competition in Nerva (2019).
She has worked with conductors such as Vasily Petrenko, Elim Cham, Julio García Vico and Pablo González and Oksana Lyniv and in chamber music with Aitor Hevia and Atte Kilpeläinen.
