John Graham-Hall

English tenor John Graham-Hall made his Royal Opera debut in 1989 as Albert Herring. He studied at King’s College (Cambridge) and the Royal College of Music (London). His repertory includes plays such as Moses und Aron, Death in Venice, Peter Grimes, Der Rosenkavalier, Eugene Onegin, Sweeney Todd, Le nozze di Figaro and Die Zauberflöte. He has performed in prestigious music halls, such as La Scala in Milano, Opera of Nice, Châtelet and National Opera in Paris, New York Metropolitan Opera, and Teatro Real in Madrid. He has worked under the guidance of conductors such as Bernard Haitink, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Pierre Boulez, Andrew David, Jeffrey Tate, Sir Simon Rattle, John Eliot Gardiner and Claudio Abbado.
