Encounter of Santander
Born in Barcelona, Spain, in 2003, he made his solo debut at age of 17 at the Palau de la Música Catalana. Since then, he has performed in France, Portugal, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, Turkey, and the US. He currently studies at the Liceu Conservatory with Lluís Claret, supported by a Ferrer Salat scholarship. He won the CARM International Contest 2020, was awarded at the Vienna International Strings Competition, and received second prize at the Slava International Cello Competition 2023. He has taken masterclasses with Gary Hoffman, Frans Helmerson, and Jens Peter Maintz, and has participated in festivals such as Ravel, Mendelssohn, Schiermonnikoog, Caunes Minervois, and Musethica. He currently plays a Charles Adolphe Gand cello from 1854.
