Kryštof Kohout

Born in Pilsen, Czech Republic, in 2000. He made his solo debut at the Barbican Hall playing the Berg Violin Concerto, he has performed as a soloist and chamber musician at concerts and festivals throughout Europe and United States. As a soloist he has performed with orchestras like the Pilsen Philharmonic Orchestra, Moravian Chamber Soloists and London Classical Orchestra, and has worked with violinists including Leonidas Kavakos, Midori and Anne-Sophie Mutter. He has received awards from the Hattori Foundation, Harrison Frank Family Foundation and he was the youngest finalist and prizewinner at the 70th Royal Over-Seas League Competition. He currently studies with professor David Takeno at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where he also studies baroque violin with Pavlo Beznosiuk.
