Laïla Barnat is invited to work as freelance at the Royal Opera House (Jette Parker Young Artists Programme) in Covent Garden, Teatro Real of Madrid, Glyndebourne Festival, Zurich Opera House, Bayerische Staatsoper Munich, Opera Holland Park, Danish National Opera, Rossini Opera Festival, among others, and in schools and opera studios such as the National Opera Studio in London and the Centre de Perfeccionament Plácido Domingo in Valencia.

She has worked for productions and courses alongside the maestri Lorin Maazel, Zubin Mehta, Richard Bonynge, Alberto Zedda, Jakub Hrusa, Fabio Luisi, Henrik Nanasi, Roberto Abbado, Maurizio Benini, Juanjo Mena and worked with Elina Garanca, Nadine Sierra, Aylin Pérez, Natalie Dessay, Angel Blue, Mariusz Kwiecień, Gregory Kunde, Vittorio Grigolo, Javier Camarena, Marion Cotillard...

She received the 2016 International Opera Award for emerging artist as well as numerous prizes for accompanist and repetiteur and was finalist of the 2013 Wigmore Hall International Song Competition together with Gavan Ring (2nd Prize).

She was trained in London at the National Opera Studio and the Royal College of Music with Roger Vignoles & Simon Lepper. She is a scholar of the Britten Pears Young Artists Programme, the Mozart Academy of the Aix-en-Provence Festival (France) and of the Solti Academy (Italy). She has acquired experience on stage in recitals in France, U.K, Denmark, Spain, Switzerland, Italy (Teatro dell'Opera in Rome), Malta (Office of the Prime Minister), China (2010 World Exposition), Canada and in a Mélodies and Spanish Songs Tour with the French Embassy and Alliance Française in the United States (Washington's Kennedy Center Millenium Stage, Dallas, Miami…) & Mexico.

She is a vocal coach at the Valencia Conservatoire and the French phonetics teacher at the Master of Lied Victoria de Los Angeles at ESMUC (Barcelona) and, since 2023, she is pianist professor in lyrical scene and vocal ensemble at Reina Sofía School of Music in Madrid.
