Leandro Lazzari

Leandro Lazzari

Born in Bologna, Italy, in 2001, he studied oboe in Basel with Professor Emanuel Abbühl and is currently completing his master’s degree in Hannover with Professor Kai Frömbgen. In 2022, he won first prize at the Giuseppe Ferlendis International Competition. From January to May, he served as principal oboe with the Frankfurt Opern- und Museumsorchester. He has also performed with many of Italy’s leading orchestras, including those of the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma and Teatro alla Scala. Lazzari has worked with some of today’s most prominent conductors, including Daniele Gatti, Zubin Mehta, Simone Young, and Andrés Orozco-Estrada. In September, he will begin his trial as principal oboist of the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin.
