Malika Bekturova

Born in Almaty (Republic of Kazakhstan), in 2001. Since 2025, she studies at the Reina Sofía School of Music, in the Telefónica Violin Chair, under Professor Zakhar Bron. She has been granted a scholarship by Fundación Albéniz.

She began her musical studies in 2008 and later trained at the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music with Vladislav Igolinsky.

She has been awarded in numerous international competitions, including the A. Zhubanov Competition, the Glazunov Competition in Paris, and the International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians. She has performed as a soloist at festivals such as “Moscow Meets Friends” and with the Orchestra of the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in Beijing, on tours in India and England under the baton of Zubin Mehta. In 2024, she won the Charleston International Music Competition and was selected for masterclasses with Zakhar Bron. Her musicality and technique have been recognized by international juries from an early age.
