María de los Ángeles Gómez Rojas

She was born in Barquisimeto (Venezuela) in 1988. She began her musical training in Barquisimeto and from 2007 to 2013 she studied at the National Experimental University of the Arts (UNEA) with Margot Pares-Reyna. Since 2016, she furthers her studies at the Reina Sofía School of Music, in the “Alfredo Kraus” Fundación Ramón Areces Voice Chair with Professor Ryland Davies. She has been granted a tuition scholarship by Fundación Carolina and Fundación Albéniz and an accommodation scholarship by Fundación Carolina. She has taken part in opera productions, recitals, and concerts all around Venezuela. In 2017 she sang under the baton of maestro Plácido Domingo in a gala at the Royal Opera in Madrid. As a student of the School, she has been member of the Orange Foundation Voces Tempo Ensemble.
