Milan Drake

Born in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, in 1998. Since 2018, he studies with Konstantin Heidrich at the Universität der Künste Berlin. Previous teachers include Jan Ickert at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt. Since 2022, he is academician at the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester. Additionally, he has won several national awards of the Jugend Musiziert Wettbewerb (2015-16) and has received the first prize and a special prize at the Mendelssohn Competition in Kronberg (2016-18. In 2021 he won the second prize and the special prize with his quartet at the Kammermusikwettbewerb der Alice-Samter-Stiftung Berlin. He is also a scholarship holder of the Paul Hindemith Gesellschaft Berlin and the Yehudi Menuhin “Live Music Now” Berlin e.V.
