Pablo Díaz Díaz

Born in Madrid, Spain, in 2003. Since 2021, he studies at the Reina Sofía School of Music’s Clarinet Chair with professor Pascal Moraguès. He has been granted a scholarship by Fundación Albéniz.

He began his clarinet studies at the age of 8 at Collado Villalba’s Municipal School of Music and Dance with Javier Huertas. In 2015 he entered the Padre Antonio Soler Music School in San Lorenzo de El Escorial as a student of professor Josep Arnau. He finished his first five professional courses on clarinet and chamber music with the highest qualifications. He has attended masterclasses by Vicente Alberola, Johannes Peitz, Yehuda Gilad, Nikita Vaganov, José Luis Estellés, Pablo Barragán, Javier Martínez, Justo Sanz, Carlos Casadó, Carmelo Molina, Joan Enric Lluna, and Calogero Palermo.

He was selected to participate in the Talentos project of Madrid’s Symphony Orchestra in 2019 and 2020, in the European Union Youth Wind Orchestra in 2019, and in the Barenboim-Said Academy of Orchestral Studios.

He is part of or reserve member of ensembles such as the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester, the Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra, the Youth National Orchestra of Catalonia, the Orchestra of the World Youth Days and the Leonese Youth Orchestra.

As a student of the School, he has been a member of the Freixenet Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Juanjo Mena and Péter Csaba, and the Saint-Saëns and Fundación Mutua Madrileña ensembles. He is currently part of the Cosan Quintet and the Viena Octet.
