Encounter of Santander
Born in Benaguacil, Spain, in 2009. Since 2025, he studies at the Reina Sofía School of Music, in the Unidad Editorial Double Bass Chair, under Professor Wies de Boevé. He has been granted a scholarship by Fundación Albéniz.
He began studying double bass at the age of seven with Pascual Cabanes and completed his professional training at the Conservatory of Llíria with Carmen Tomás, also receiving soloist instruction from Luis Cabrera. He has taken masterclasses with renowned double bassists such as Bozo Paradzik, Petru Iuga, and Thomas Martin.
He has won international awards, including first prize at the Vienna Classical Music Competition (2024), where he performed as a soloist with the Wiener Stadtorchester, and at the Beethoven Young Music Competition. He is a member of the Jove Orquestra de la Generalitat Valenciana, Camerata La Stravaganza, and Nostrum Mare Camerata, and has performed as a soloist with various orchestras. In March, he will make his debut with the Málaga Philharmonic Orchestra.
