Ecuadorian violinist (Cuenca, 1991). He was trained in Quito as a violinist and comprehensive artist with maestro Leonid Greco. He graduated with honors from the National Conservatory of Music in Quito and the Technical University of Manabí. In 2010, he won a full scholarship and moved to Madrid to pursue advanced professional studies at the Reina Sofía School of Music with the prestigious and internationally recognized maestro Zakhar Bron. He later obtained a Master's degree in Musical Research from the International University of La Rioja.

Santy Abril has received masterclasses from renowned international teachers, including Bogos Mortchikian, Shlomo Mintz, Menahem Pressler, Dimitry Petoukhov, Daniel Guedes, Lara St. John, Andrey Baranov, Gaby Lester, Lynn Chang, Roman Patočka, Emmanuel Siffert, Olga Kaler, Noé Inui, among others.

In Spain, he was part of the Freixenet Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Antoni Ros Marbà, and the E.ON Camerata of the Reina Sofía School of Music, conducted by maestro Hansjörg Schellenberger, performing in the main auditoriums of Spain. He was the founder of the Trío Ramales, with which he debuted at the Sony Auditorium in Madrid under the direction of Maestra Márta Gulyás.

He has stood out as an assistant professor at the Greco Violin School (2011-2016). Assistant teacher at the International Strings Camp in Villa de Leyva, Colombia (2013). Academic Director of the International Classical Music Encounter in Ambato (2012-2015). Teacher at the First Álvaro Manzano Festival in Ambato (2022). Concertmaster of the EVG Camerata, Concertmaster of the National Conservatory of Music Symphony Orchestra in Ecuador, and jury member in several music competitions in Ecuador.

In 2017, he toured Spain as a first violinist with the Joven Orquesta Nacional de España (JONDE), performing Mahler's IX symphony, and in the same year, he recorded a CD of Ecuadorian academic music with the Cuenca Symphony Orchestra (Ecuador) with the violin concerto by the renowned Ecuadorian composer and arranger Jorge Oviedo.

Throughout his extensive artistic career, he has participated in countless concerts, festivals, and competitions, which have led him to stand out in countries such as the United States, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Spain, Germany, Australia, and Ecuador, performing under the baton of great conductors such as Emmanuel Siffert, Nicolas Krauze, Gerardo Estrada, Álvaro Manzano, Fernando Varcárcel, Claudio Cohen, Ion Bressan, Adrián Chamorro, Yury Sobolev, David Handel, Christophe Talmont, Gaétan Kuchta, Marnix Steffen, among others.

Currently, he maintains a career as a soloist, chamber music artist, violinist in various Ecuadorian ensembles, Violin Teacher at the Central University of Ecuador since 2018, and Concertmaster of the National Symphony Orchestra of Ecuador since 2022.

He plays a Scott Cao violin, model "Il Cannone - 1743", built in 2014.
