Valentin Magyar

Born in Budapest, Hungary, in 2004. He began his musical studies at the age of six. In 2015, he was admitted into the Exceptional Young Talents School at the Franz Liszt Academy, where he would begin, that same year, his Master’s with professors Dénes Várjon and Gábor Farkas. He has won the first prize at the National Piano Competition in Hungary, third prize at 10th Franz Liszt Weimar International Competition in Bayreuth, special prize to the best performance of a late work by Franz Liszt, and in 2021, the Junior Prima award, the most prestigious acknowledgment for young musicians in the country. Passionate about solo and chamber music, he regularly participates at courses by Gábor Takács-Nagy, Ian Fountain, Dénes Várjon, Claudio Martínez Mehner, and István Várdai, among others.
