Vanessa Cera, a soprano born in Barranquilla, Colombia, has charted an exceptional path in the world of opera.
A graduate of the vocal performance program at the Universidad Central de Colombia, Cera has trained under the guidance of renowned teachers such as Sarah Cullins, Alejandro Roca, Camila Toro, and Francis Díaz.
During her studies, she was selected to perform leading roles in the university’s Opera Workshop, including principal parts in operas such as Dido and Aeneas and L’enfant et les sortilèges. Her talent has led her to perform on some of Colombia’s most prestigious stages, including the Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo, the Teatro Colón in Bogotá, and the Cartagena International Music Festival. She has collaborated with the country’s leading opera companies, taking part in acclaimed productions such as Viva Madrid and Le nozze di Figaro.
