Vera Karner

Born in Vienna (Austria) in 1994. Vera Karner has won international competitions such as the Cibulka Competition (Austria, 2018) and Fanny Mendelssohn Förderpreis (Germany, 2016). She has recorded CDs for Berlin Classics (Trio) and Gramola (Clarinet and piano). She has performed in Japan, Denmark, Lebanon, Switzerland, Israel, Croatia, Kuwait, and as a soloist with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Varna State Opera (Bulgaria) and the Camerata Andres Bello (Chile), among others. A highlight was the New York premiere of "Nature of light" (Gandolfi) with the Chelsea Festival Strings conducted by Ken-David Masur. She has played at Vienna’s Musikverein, Vienna Konzerthaus, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, and Konzerthaus Berlin.
