Encounter of Santander
Born Shanghai, China, in 2005. Since the 2025–2026 academic year, he studies at the Reina Sofía School of Music’s Fundación Banco Santander Piano Chair with professor Stanislav Ioudenitch. He has been granted a scholarship by Fundación Albéniz.
Winner of the 65th Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition and the Audience Award, he began studying piano professionally at the age of 14 with professor Yunlin Yang, despite coming from a non-musical family.
He has received major awards at the Singapore International Piano Competition and the Shenzhen International Piano Concerto Competition. His performances have taken him to prestigious concert halls in China and abroad, including Carnegie Hall in New York, Shenzhen Concert Hall, Shanghai Concert Hall, Shanghai Symphony Hall, Conservatory Opera House (Shanghai), He Luting Concert Hall (Shanghai), Qintai Concert Hall (Wuhan), Tianjin Juilliard Recital Hall, and SOTA Concert Hall (Singapore). He has performed as soloist with conductors such as Daye Lin, Yifan Sun, Stefan Vladar, Peng Liu, and Xiao’ou Zhao, and with orchestras including the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra, and Wuhan Philharmonic Orchestra.
In November 2024, he was named a Steinway Young Artist by Steinway & Sons Asia Pacific.
