David Hevia


David Hevia, a violinist from Asturias, studied at the Conservatorio Superior de Música in Oviedo with his father, José Ramón Hevia, and continued his training at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with Keiko Wataya, supported by scholarships from Cajastur and the Principality of Asturias. He later joined the Reina Sofía School of Music in Madrid, where he studied with Rainer Schmidt and Marta Gulyàs. 

He has taken masterclasses with renowned violinists such as Ulf Hoelscher, Boris Garlitsky, Ilya Grubert, and Alexander Kerr, and has been a member of ensembles such as JONDE, Arché, and the Joven Camerata Filarmónica. He has performed under conductors including Fabio Biondi, Pablo González, Max Valdés, and Leon Spierer, and collaborated with the Utopía Chamber Orchestra. 

Awarded at the Ciudad de Xàtiva National String Competition, he combines his artistic activity with teaching as a tenured professor at the Conservatorio Profesional de Música y Danza de Gijón and as violin teacher at the Llanes International Music Course.
