The Reina Sofía School of Music has been supporting the most talented young musicians in their personal and artistic development for over 30 years, as well as bringing the best music closer to all audiences.

More than 900 students from around the world have passed through our classrooms, going on to have distinguished careers in performance or teaching: Pablo Ferrández, Arcadi Volodos, Sol Gabetta, Cuarteto Casals, Cuarteto Quiroga, Juan Pérez Floristán and Stanislav Ioudenitch, among others.

Since the 2020-2021 academic year, thanks to the support of our private, institutional, and individual sponsors, we have ensured that all students enjoy free tuition.

What is it included in the Fundación Albéniz Scholarships?

Regardless of the Bachelor's, Master's, or Degree’s studies each student pursues, they take an average of 10 subjects per year, including instrument classes, theoretical lessons and large ensembles. Additionally, students have subjects in wellbeing (performance psychology), artist development (preparation for professional life), and entrepreneurship. The average tuition fee amounts to approximately €45,000 per year.

Each student participates in an average of 20 concerts per year, including performances in chamber ensembles, the Symphony Orchestra, the Camerata, or the Sinfonietta, allowing them to immerse intensively in professional practice.

Thanks to everyone's efforts and the School's unique training model, we have a 100% employability rate from the second year onwards, making each scholarship crucial in the lives of our young musicians.
