Free Music Academy of Silicon Valley

The Free Music Academy of Silicon Valley project, developed in 2024, aims to provide free, high-quality music education to young people in vulnerable social situations in California. Through weekly virtual classes taught by international faculty, instrument loans, and mentoring activities, the project seeks to eliminate barriers to access to classical music and create real opportunities for artistic development.

The project's impact has begun to manifest with its first pilot student in San José (USA) and an active local institutional support network. The organization has a legal structure and growing visibility on social media and in the press.

Objectives:

  • Ensure free access to quality music education for young people in vulnerable situations.
  • Provide instruments, mentoring, and public performance opportunities.
  • Create a sustainable local and international support network for the development of the project.

Team: Matthew Origel (flute), Maria Mathshkalyan (violin), Kike Labián (mentor).
